Services
Strategies usually stall on people problems: leaders drift out of alignment, the workforce resists the new way of working, and schedules slip without anyone raising a flag. We cover the work that decides whether a plan takes hold. Most engagements start with program management support and grow from there.
Clear plans and priorities leadership can act on, with measures that show whether it is working.
Getting a new system, policy, or reorganization adopted by the people who have to use it.
Messaging that earns buy-in from senior leaders, the workforce, and oversight bodies.
Structure, visibility, and steady hands to keep complex programs on schedule.
About
I started my career as a Naval Intelligence Officer, briefing senior leaders who needed clear answers on short timelines. That work taught me the skill I've built on ever since: taking complex, competing information and turning it into a decision someone can act on.
After the Navy, I spent more than seven years in federal strategy consulting, first at Booz Allen Hamilton and then at Deloitte Consulting. I built a five-year strategic roadmap of 13 initiatives for a federal agency. I advised a federal Chief Information Officer through an organizational transformation. Most recently, I led the engagement supporting executive-level advisory councils to a Cabinet-level Secretary, and carried that program through a presidential transition without losing continuity.
I founded Potomac & Platte Advisory to bring that experience directly to agency leaders, without the layers of a large firm. I lead every engagement personally, so the person who scopes your work is the person who delivers it.
I'm based in Denver and support clients nationwide, working remotely as an extension of your team, with travel for key sessions when the work calls for it. The firm is named for the Potomac and the South Platte, the two rivers that run through the places that shaped it.
